Hey Everyone!
Here is today's communion meditation.
The other day I was reading through Genesis chapter 1 and noticed something interesting. On the first three days of creation, it says there was "evening and morning," but God didn't make the sun, moon, and stars until day four.
How was there evening and morning if there was no sun or moon?
I did a little research into this, but I honestly don't have a great answer yet. The best answer I've found so far is that the Hebrew word for evening can also mean "chaos, entropy, and disorder," which would imply that there was still disorder in the earth because God wasn't done creating yet.
In today's communion we are asking God to teach us about the significance of there being evening and morning on the first three days of creation.
Also, if any of you have an answer for this feel free to reach out to me.

Hey everyone!
Here is this week's Yearly Cycle update.
This is a time of year when God likes to shift things around. Shifting has to do with positioning. He may reposition us because he wants to move us into a role that uses a higher level of our gifting. If we have grown a lot over this last year, he wants to move us into a higher level of what he has called us to do.
When things shift, it can seem scary because of the uncertainties, but the changes are needed to bring out our potential. God will often shift us into a role that requires a higher level of self-management paired with serving people on a higher level. It will take courage to step into a higher level of our gift, because it will require a higher level of transparency of who we really are. It will take courage to really give our gift to the world.
If you are a leader of people, this is a time to be seeking God, to make sure that all of your people are positioned properly. All the people need to ...

Here is today's communion meditation... Let's win today!
In Matthew 16:19 Jesus said, "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Lately I have been thinking about these keys to the kingdom. In my book "Pockets of Prosperity," we talk about how the keys to the kingdom can unlock certain areas of the Abundant Life Blueprint. In the picture below this message, you'll see 4 layers of circles, and each layer has a different set of keys that unlock those areas of the Blueprint.
In today's communion we are asking God for the keys to the kingdom so that we can unlock all that he for us in Christ.

We are in a time of the year when God often initiates transitions in our lives, but during these transitions he usually slows things down so that nothing tears or breaks.
In John 21 after the resurrection of Jesus, Peter was very low in his faith, and he went back to fishing. This was Peter reverting back to his old ways. But Jesus appeared and told him and the disciples to cast their net on the right side of the boat. Then it says in verse 11, "So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn."
Even though they caught so many fish the net was still intact.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God knows exactly how to lead us so that nothing tears or breaks.

In 1 Timothy 4 Paul is giving instructions to Timothy on how to walk out his faith and he says, in verse 15...
"Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress."
Immersion is one of the fastest ways to see progress, and when we make progress God wants it to be evident to all.
In Matthew 6 Jesus said that what we do in secret God would reward openly.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us practice and immerse ourselves in the things he's called us to so that he can reward us openly and that all may see our progress.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
In our health and fitness when we make great progress it is evident to all, and it opens up an opportunity to talk about how we made progress. When I had my gym business clients progress would lead to referrals, and the same can be true in our relationship with God. As our progress is evident it opens an opportunity to talk about...

Yesterday we talked about how casting lots was the method used to distribute the promised land to the people. Casting lots was like rolling dice or flipping a coin which provided an unbiased way to determine where their property would be.
Psalm 16:5-6 says, " Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. 6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance."
In Christ we have an amazing promised land... All of the promises of God. And all of the promises in Christ are "yes," and "amen."
Our lot and inheritance is secure and has fallen in a pleasant place.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for our inheritance in Christ.

The other day Bible verses on "casting lots," kept standing out to me, so I was looking up what the words meant in Hebrew. One of the translations is a pebble or stone.
Casting lots was like rolling dice, drawing straws, or a flipping a coin to make a choice. It was a random unbiased way to generate a decision from God.
And while I was looking up the definitions of the word, my daughter asked my wife about an object that was on a shelf nearby, and it just so happened to be a prayer dice, that my wife's mother had given her. The dice had different Bible verses written on each side.
Casting lots is something that is all throughout the Old Testament and even seen in the gospels and the book of Acts.
Casting lots was how the priests were chosen to go on duty in the temple.
Casting lots was how the Israelites were given their inheritance land.
Casting lots was how the scapegoat was chosen on the Day of Atonement.

The other day I came across Numbers 33:51-52 which says, "When you cross the Jordan into the land of Canaan, 52 you must drive out before you all the inhabitants of the land, destroy all their carved images and cast idols, and demolish all their high places."
This reminded me of 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 which says, "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."
When the people crossed over into the promised land they were to demolish all of the high places. In a similar way, for us to take our promised land and step into all of the promises of God we must demolish every argument and imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and His standard of grace.

Here is today's communion meditation.
1 Peter 5:7-10 says, " Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; 7 casting all your anxiety upon him, because he cares for you. 8 Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour: withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are accomplished in your brethren who are in the world. 10 And the God of all grace, who called you unto his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, shall himself perfect, establish, strengthen you."
To be steadfast in our faith is to be fixed, immovable, and consistent. I think our fight of faith is to keep out focus on God when there are issues and problems going on around us, because we trust that God is with us, he loves us, and nothing is impossible for him.
God's love is described as steadfast and we can be steadfast knowing that His l...
Here is this week's Yearly Cycle update.
We are moving into the wintertime, a season of the year when many transitions happen. Don’t be surprised if God starts shifting things around. If you are in a leadership position, there will often be some shifts in people during this time. During transitions, be patient.
God transitions things slowly so that nothing tears or breaks. We just finished going through the heat of the year, and now we are moving into the colder season. We can’t just move from hot to cold. Imagine putting hot glass in a freezer. It would break.
In this season, God will often slow things down and cause some unexpected delays. This is a time when things just seem to sit on the shelf and cool for a while. If you have been through the fire this year, don’t be surprised if it seems like you are just waiting for a season. If this happens, be of good cheer—because it means that God is actually lining things up perfectly. These delays and slowdowns ma...
