Recently one of our partners recommended that I watch the Chosen series. As I was watching there was scene where the little children come to Jesus and he has work to do, but he spends time with them and has them do the work with him. I was reminded that I need to be better at this with my own children. Sometimes I get too busy and don't make time for them when they ask to spend time together.Â
In Matthew 19:13-15 it says, "Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them. 14 Jesus said, âLet the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.â 15 When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there."
Imagine going to God and trying to spend time with him, but he says he is too busy and has work to do. Thankfully God doesn't do this to us. Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God always gives us his presence. And ...
In 2 Kings 4 is the story of a widow who was about to have her sons taken from her because they were in debt. Elisha asks her what she has in her house, and she says, " just a small jar of oil." Elisha has her get vessels from her neighbors and when she pours the oil into her neighbors' vessels the oil continues to flow as long as she has more vessels to pour into. Then Elisha tells her to sell the oil, pay off her debts, and to live off of the rest.Â
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that nothing is impossible with God. And we are asking for wisdom and understanding of how to apply these scriptures in our own lives. And we are asking him to show us what we have in our house that we could use to pour into our neighbors and to help us solve any money problems in the process.Â
Here is the scripture from 2 Kings 4:1-7...

The other day we took communion over the passage of scripture where the apostle Paul said he was under such intense pressure that he was despairing of life itself. As I was looking at this passage, I started to pull it up in different translations of the Bible and in the MSG version a few paragraphs later it says...
2 Corinthians 1:12 MSGÂ Now that the worst is over, weâre pleased we can report that weâve come out of this with conscience and faith intact, and can face the worldâand even more importantly, face you with our heads held high. But it wasnât by any fancy footwork on our part. It was God who kept us focused on him, uncompromised.
This passage reminded me of 1 Timothy 1:18-19 which says, "Timothy, my child, I entrust you with this command in keeping with the previous prophecies about you, so that by them you may fight the good fight, 19 holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and thereby shipwrecked their faith."

In John 15 Jesus says...
âI am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
5 âI am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Fatherâs glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

Today we are taking communion over our families. If you have been praying and believing for members of your family(spouse, kids, parents, grandparents, grandkids, brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, or anyone else) to be saved, know God, and walk with him then today will be a special communion to turn this over to God and activate him going to work.Â
Here are some scriptures to meditate on for this...
Acts 2:39Â -Â For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Acts 11:14Â -Â He will convey to you a message by which you and all your household will be saved.'
Acts 16:3Â -Â They replied, âBelieve in the Lord Jesus, and you will be savedâyou and your household.â
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God is not just interested in us but also our whole family, because families are the building blocks of communities. And we are asking for God's help for our whole family to be sav...
In today's communion we are receiving promises from God to help us have sweet peaceful sleep. Here are some scriptures on God giving us sleep.
Psalm 127:2Â In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eatâ for he grants sleep to those he loves.
Psalm 4:8Â In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.
Proverbs 3:24Â When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.
Matthew 8:24Â Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.
Jeremiah 31:23-26Â This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: âWhen I bring them back from captivity, the people in the land of Judah and in its towns will once again use these words: âThe Lord bless you, you prosperous city, you sacred mountain.â 24 People will live together in Judah and all its townsâfarmers and those who move about with their flocks. 25 I will refresh the weary a...
Here is this week's Yearly Cycle Update.
We are getting close to the feast of Pentecost, which was a time when all of the believers were gathered together in one accord. This is a time of year to remember to work in unity together. In the story of the Tower of Babel God said that nothing would be impossible for the people if they worked together, and that was without him. How much more can be accomplished by people working together in unity with God.Â
We have talked about installing a weekly filter at the top of our journal every night. The filter is just a short phrase that we write that serves as a reminder to keep things top of mind.Â
Here is this week's filter... People Working in Unity
I am praying for you.Â

James 1:16-18 says, "Donât be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. 18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.."
Every good and perfect gift comes from above. Lately we have talked about how God supplies and how heaven is the storehouse of God's bounty. His good and perfect gifts for our lives come from above. The don't come from us toiling away trying to figure things out or forcing things to happen, they come as a gift from above.Â
How do we receive these good and perfect gifts? I think we ask, seek, and knock for them, but we must do this in single minded faith that doesn't waver.Â
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for the good and perfect gifts that God sends from above. And we are asking God for the good and perfect gifts he has for us.Â

Something I feel God has been teaching me about lately is the importance of our tendons and ligaments. If you study scriptures about the tendons and ligaments it consistently says that they supply or nourish our bodies and knit or weave them together. They are the connection with the head and one of the biggest keys to growth and increase.Â
Here are some scriptures on this to meditate on today...
Ephesians 4:15-16
NKJÂ - but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the headâChristâ from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
NIVÂ - Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself u...
One year ago today I recorded the first Daily Communion Meditation. Here are some of the main lessons I learned from 1 year of daily communion meditations...
God Will Supply - When I first started recording daily videos my biggest hesitation was what I was going to talk about every day. How was I going to come up with a new message every single day? But I learned that whatever God asks us to do he sustains. I learned that God supplies. He always had a new message ready for every day. During the last year I learned how to trust and rely on him at a greater level. Over the course of 365 messages probably 30% of the time I had no clue what I was going to talk about within 10 minutes of hitting record on my computer. But, every time God would show up. During this time I also learned how to better follow those little nudges he gives. Sometimes I would just have one word or sentence to talk about but then he would take over from there. Through this process of watching h...
