John 21:25 says, " Jesus also did many other things. If they were all written down, I suppose the whole world could not contain the books that would be written."
This is pretty amazing to think about! How could Jesus do so many things in such a short amount of time? God has ordained or written about every moment of our day, and I think Jesus walked in the fullness of every moment God wrote about him.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us walk in the fullness of every moment he wrote about us.

Make the most of every rep in your workout. If you are doing 8 reps, think of it as one rep 8 times. This causes us to get more present in each rep.

Yesterday we talked about John 4:35 which says, "Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest."
In the next verse John 4:36 it says, "Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together."
One of the themes in the Bible is that when God blesses people can have so much harvest that they will still be harvesting when it's time to sow.
One of the blessings for obedience to God in Leviticus 26:5 is "Your threshing will continue until the grape harvest, and the grape harvest will continue until sowing time; you will have your fill of food to eat and will dwell securely in your land."
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand how his blessing can cause us to both sow and reap at the same time, and to walk in this consistent...
Here is today's communion meditation.
There are a lot of Bible verses about lifting up our eyes. When we lift up our eyes we become more present and aware of all of the amazing opportunities God is bringing our way, but we often miss those opportunities because our eyes are down.
Here are a few verses to meditate on today:
Genesis 13:14, "And God said to Abram after Lot had separated from him, "Now, lift up your eyes and look from the place where you [are] to the north, and to the south, and to the east and to the west."
John 4:35 "Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest."
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the importance of lifting up our eyes and to apply this consistently.

Here is today's communion meditation.
Lately the topic of "lift up your head," keeps coming up and the Bible has a lot to say about this phrase.
Here are some verses to meditate on today.
But You, O Lord, are a shield about me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head. Psalm 3:3
And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, And I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; - Psalm 27:6
Lift up your heads, O gates, And be lifted up, O ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in! Psalm 24;7
The Hebrew word used for "lift up," in these verses can also be translated as offering. There is a connection between lifting up our heads, an offering, and God's glory coming in.
And Jesus said in Luke 21:28 when the end time signs are taking place to, "straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand what he is trying to teach us about lifting up...

Matthew 22:36:40 says, “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
Everything hangs on or depends on love, and faith works through love.
As I was thinking above this, I was reminded of Colossians 2:19 which says, "They have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow."
God is love, and he is the head, and everything depends on and connects to the head. When we stay connected to him, by walking in love, everything grows effortlessly and beautifully.

In the book of Ezra, the Jewish people are working to restore the temple of God. And in Ezra 6:14 it says, "So the elders of the Jews continued to build and prosper under the preaching of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah."
So if the people continued to build and prosper under the preaching of Haggai and Zechariah... what did they preach?
The book of Haggai is all about putting God first. The people were working on their own houses instead of God's and all of their work wasn't amounting to much. Haggai 1:9-10 says, "“Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with your own house. 10 Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops."
We are told in the New Testament that when we seek first the kingdom of Heaven, all of the things we need will be added to us.

This year our message is "God's Saved the Best Until Now," and this comes from when Jesus turned water into wine. Turning water into wine is amazing, because wine takes a long time to make, but God can collapse time frames.
Amos 9:13 MSG says, "“Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us shorten time frames and have blessings pouring like wine off the mountains and hills.

Something I have seen over and over is that if we give the body what it needs, the body responds very quickly. Timeframes can also be shortened.

Yesterday we talked about blessing our spouses, and recently I came across a saying that it's the intangible things in relationships that really matter. Things like energy, connection, presence, honor, peace, and gratitude are much bigger factors in our relationships than the tangible things.
I once heard someone say that spiritual things are things that cannot be measured, and even though they can't be measured, their forces can be felt.
Romans 1:20 says, "For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse."
This verse tells us that the invisible or intangible things can be seen and felt.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the importance of intangible things in our relationships, and to help us become masters of the intangibles.

In my book, " The Miracle Year," the second half of the book walks week by week through a year and details how God's timing typically unfolds during each week. It seems that during August, God always reminds us to be a blessing in all of our relationships, especially to our spouse.
The other day, I was talking with some of our partners and we started on a challenge to be a blessing to our spouses. Here is what we are doing...

Here is this week's Yearly Cycle update.
During August, it is hot, and a time of increased pressure. We are approaching the Day of Atonement( Yom Kippur on Sept 24/25), which is the deadline for the year on God's calendar. As we move toward the deadline pressure increases, but time also seems to slow down, which allows us to get more done.
During this time of the year, there is often a passing of leadership, and during the passing of leadership there can be pressure.
If the pressure is on keep your eyes up and focused on God. In sports, when an opponent applies pressure, it opens up the ability to pass to a wide-open teammate.
Here is our filter for this week... Handle Pressure.
I am praying for you.
