Sowing Bountifully

Uncategorized Oct 25, 2023

Listen to the Podcast

Here is today's communion meditation.

2 Corinthians 9:6 says, "The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully."

I think there is a balance between grace and sowing and reaping. Jesus said the birds don't sow or reap, but God takes care of them. And by God's grace he takes care of us, but he also gives us the opportunity to sow bountifully so that we can reap bountifully.

God said that as long as the earth remains that seedtime and harvest would remain, and God only gives good gifts, so he set this up for us.

In today's communion we are asking God to help us sow bountifully so that we can reap a bountiful harvest.

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

If you ever have joint pain, then one of the best things you can do is find the "seed," which is the small amount of an exercise or an amount of resistance you can do with no pain. When we humble ourselves by starting with the seed the b...

Better Is One Day

Here is today's communion meditation.

Psalm 84:10 says, "Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere."

Better is one day in God's presence than 1,000 elsewhere. Never forgot that God can do miraculous things in one day. We often underestimate the difference that one person or one day can make.

In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the power of one day, and to apply this understanding.

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

God is supplying the strength, energy, endurance, etc. today for exercise but we must learn how to put a demand on His supply, not our own supply but His, and His supply is unlimited and inexhaustible.

I am praying for you.

A Bird May Carry Your Words

Here is today's communion meditation.

Lately Ecclesiastes 10:20 keeps coming to mind. It says, "Do not revile the king even in your thoughts, or curse the rich in your bedroom, because a bird in the sky may carry your words, and a bird on the wing may report what you say."

God has some miraculous ways of making things happen, and I believe that this verse can also have a reciprocal, if we are speaking good things a bird of the air can also carry these messages. This verse reminds of the Holy Spirit coming down as a dove onto Jesus.

When we speak good things about God, the Holy Spirit may carry those words back to God.

In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand what this verse means for us and how to apply this.

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

One of the goals of our workouts is to restore our ability to move like little children, because they have a lot of the secrets.

Stealing Signals

Uncategorized Oct 22, 2023

Listen to the Podcast

Here is today's communion meditation.

The other day I was talking with some people about how sports teams try to steal the signals of their opponents. Stealing signals gives your team an advantage because you know what's coming. In fact, one of the people I was talking with said that stealing the enemies signals was one of the keys to winning World War 2.

This reminded me of 2 Kings 6 where the King of Aram is planning attacks or ambushes against Israel, but Elisha keeps finding out and warning the king of Israel. In 2 Kings 6:12 one of the men of Aram told his king, "but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the very words you speak in your bedroom.”

All throughout the Bible one of the themes is that God often steal the signals and plans of the enemy to protect His people.

Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God is with us, he loves us, and nothing is impossible for him.

Peace That Surpasses All Understanding

Uncategorized Oct 21, 2023

Listen to the Podcast

Here is today's communion meditation.

Philippians 4:6-7 says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

We are in a time of year when God often initiates transfers and transitions to move us to the next level. During the transitions God has given us His peace to help guide our decision making. We don't have to rely on our own peace, we can use God's. And his peace surpasses our understanding, and guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

I think of His peace kind of like a bouncer sitting outside our hearts and minds. The bouncer keeps thoughts and beliefs out that aren't supposed to be in there. Peace will also go in and clean anything out that snuck its way in.

Today's communion is a time of gratitude that we have God's peace.

Transfers and Transitions

Listen to the Podcast

Here is this week's Yearly Cycle update.

We are in a time of year for transfers and transitions. If things are shifting right now, then know that God is moving the pieces around to move you to the next level. The key is to keep your eyes up and fixed on him during the transitions.

It's during this time that God wants to do some miraculous transfers and transition you to the next level. God will often open doors for the next level during this time, and when those doors open make sure to follow your peace on the inside. Peace will help to guide your decision making. A peace that surpasses all understanding.

Here is our filter for this week... Transfers and Transitions

I am praying for you.

More Precious Than Gold

Uncategorized Oct 20, 2023

Listen to the Podcast

Here is today's communion meditation.

Lately we've been talking about James 3:17 which says, " But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere."

Wisdom from above is first of all pure, it purifies our heart, motives, and desires.

And we talked about Revelation 21:21 which says, "The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass."

Purity creates clarity and transparency.

These verses reminded me of 1 Peter 1:6-7 which says, "In this you rejoice greatly, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the genuineness of your faith, which is much more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested and purified by fire, may be found to result in [your] praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ."

Going through the fire can purify our faith. Psalm 66:1...

Pure Gold

Here is today's communion meditation.

Yesterday we talked about James 3:17 which says, " But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere."

Wisdom from above is first of all pure, it purifies our heart, motives, and desires.

While thinking about this I was reminded of Revelation 21:21 which talks about heaven and says, "The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass."

Purity creates clarity and transparency. The wisdom that comes from above is pure and creates clarity and transparency.

In today's communion we are asking God for wisdom that comes from above that purifies and creates clarity and transparency

Where Your Treasure Is

Uncategorized Oct 17, 2023

Listen to the Podcast

Here is today's communion meditation.

Matthew 6:20-23 says, "But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

And Luke 12:33-35 says, "Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide yourselves with purses that will not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. 34For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 35Be dressed for service and keep your lamps burning.…"

Tradition says that we store everything up in heaven and we can't touch it until we die. But I think Jesus is trying to teach us to rely on God as our source that will also take care of us here and now. He wants us to know we have an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, and this treasure is in our heart. God pla...
