Here is today's communion meditation.
The Day of Atonement was a few days ago. In the Old Testament, the Day of Atonement was the one day of the year when the High Priest could enter the Holy of Holies and make atonement for the sins of the people for the year. The place where atonement was made was the mercy seat, which was the covering of the ark of the covenant. And above the mercy seat God is enthrone between the cherubim that surround the ark.Â
Hebrews 9:5 says, "Above the ark were the cherubim of the Glory, overshadowing the atonement cover. - Hebrews 9:5
Psalm 80:1 says, "God, you who are enthroned above the cherubim, shine forth! - Psalm 80:1
Isaiah 37:16 says “O Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, who is enthroned above the cherubim -Isaiah 37:16
In today's communion we are asking God for insight and revelation into what it means for us that he is enthrone above the cherubim.Â

The Day of Atonement was a few days ago. The place where atonement was made was the mercy seat, which was the covering of the ark of the covenant. The mercy seat is also translated as the atonement cover. It was on the atonement cover where the priest sprinkled the blood to make atonement for the people. Thinking of Atonement reminded me of Hebrews 10:19-20. Here is what it says in the NLT version:
"And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting...

Two days ago was the Day of Atonement. In the Old Testament, the Day of Atonement was the one day of the year when the High Priest could enter the Holy of Holies and make atonement for the sins of the people for the year. The place where atonement was made was the mercy seat, which was the covering of the ark of the covenant. The mercy seat, is also translated as the atonement cover. The Day of Atonement is a reminder of God's mercy to us in Christ. The mercy seat is also where God would appear to the priest and speak with them.Â
Exodus 25:22 says "There I will meet with you; and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak to you about all that I will give you in commandment for the sons of Israel."
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for God's mercy, and we are asking him to teach us about the mercy seat, and what it means for us today.Â

Isaiah 26.3 says, " You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You."
God has given His peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding. But this peace comes by keeping our mind on him and trusting in him.Â
In today's communion we are asking God for His perfect peace, and to help us keep our minds fixed on him.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
One of the goals in our workouts is to develop our ability to stay in perfect peace and totally tranquil on the inside, even though we are working out. The key to this is keeping our mind fixed on God, and trusting that He is doing the work.Â
I am praying for you.

Here is today's communion meditation.
Today is the Day of Atonement, which is a reminder that Jesus is our faithful high priest, and through His one sacrifice he has made us holy and perfect forever(Hebrews 10).
Today is also the final day of our 40 Days to Finished program. Today is the day to have everything finished, and it's a reminder that Jesus fulfilled everything on the cross. John 19:28-30 says, "After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” 29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. 30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit."
Jesus finished everything that needed to be finished so that we can be one with God.Â

1 Corinthians 10:31 says, " So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
In whatever we are doing, are we doing it in such a way that God gets the glory because it's his spirit. might, and power doing the work and sustaining all things.Â
In today's communion we are asking God to help us do everything in such a way that he gets the glory.Â

In Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus said "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
We have a role to play in teaching other people to be disciplined the way God has taught us. But we need his empowerment and grace to make this happen.Â
In today's communion we are asking God to help us go and make disciples of all nations we he desires.Â

Sunday evening through Monday evening is the Day of Atonement, which is a reminder that Jesus is our faithful high priest, and he has made atonement for our sins. He has made us clean. Atonement is a reminder of our oneness with God. Think of Atonement as at-one-ment

Here is today's communion meditation.
Yesterday we talked about how God reveals secret hidden things to those with childlike faith and how those things belong to us and our children forever.
After recording that communion meditation Matthew 7:6 keeps coming to mind where Jesus said, “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces."
I am not exactly sure yet what he is trying to show us with this verse, so in today's communion we are asking God to give us understanding of this verse and to apply it the way he desires so that the hidden things he has revealed to us are truly valued.Â

Colossians 2:23 says that the world promotes things that are harsh on the body, and this is definitely true of the way most people workout. But this is not true wisdom, because wisdom from above is gentle. Let's take a gentle approach to our fitness tha...
Here is today's communion meditation.
In Matthew 11:25 Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.
And Deuteronomy 29:29 says, “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law."
God reveals secrets to children and those with childlike faith. We are in the 10 Days of Awe, and part of having awe for God, is being more childlike in our faith. Something I feel like God is prompting in me, is to play and have more fun throughout the day. We can bring childlike energy, expectation, awe, and wonder, into everything we do.Â
Psalm 8:2 says that out of the mouths of infants and babes God has established strength, so that we can silence the enemy and cause him to cease.Â
Playing with childlike faith can cause the enemy to cease and desist. ...
