Order Leads to Clarity

Uncategorized Jun 21, 2020

Order always leads to increased clarity.

If you are ever struggling to get clarity on big decisions or which direction to take then focus on creating more order first.

The key to creating order is positioning. When things are positioned correctly order is created which leads to clarity.

This Wednesday we are starting the Miracle Year Class and in the class we will be going through a process designed to create increased clarity.

The Pattern for Breakthrough

Uncategorized Jun 20, 2020

How do we create breakthroughs? God has a pattern for creating breakthroughs but it is not always what we think. Whenever we start to make changes pressure always comes to see if we will keep going. I have seen this through the years in the gym. Clients would start eating better and exercising but after a few weeks life would always test whether or not they would continue. It could be a busy schedule, frustration if the results don't happen all at once, or something else that would try to disrupt their new rhythm.

Next week we are starting the Miracle Year Class and one of the main things we will be discussing is God's Blueprint for Breakthrough. Down below is the pattern we will be using.

A Bigger Goal

Uncategorized Jun 19, 2020

When I was playing college baseball I had a hitting coach who could transform hitters in one day. The first thing he always did was give them a different plan and goal for when they stepped into the batters box.

He would say "most people hit with a goal of not striking out or hitting a single, but the goal of baseball is to score the most runs. Every time you hit your goal is to change the scoreboard. This means you need to drive the ball and hit home runs and doubles"

Once the bigger goal was established the next step was to teach the hitters to only swing at pitches that would help them change the scoreboard. He would applaud from the dugout when hitters didn't swing at a strike, if it wasn't their pitch.

Next week we are starting the Miracle Year Class. The goal of the class is to finish with a Miracle Year Plan that changes the scoreboard of your life. This plan is the key to creating breakthroughs and is something only you can do. It combines your gifts, talents, stories, an...

Seats on the Bus

Uncategorized Jun 17, 2020

There is a saying in the business world that great CEO's get everyone in the right seat on the bus. Meaning that they put people in the role that best suits them.

God as the ultimate CEO wants to get all of us in the right seat.

If you are interested in finding out what seat he has for you then check out Ephesians 2:6 today.

Workout Experiments

Uncategorized Jun 15, 2020

The other day I was short on time to workout so I condensed everything down to the most bang for the buck movements. I was looking for exercises that combine strength, speed, and a high level of work into one. This workout only takes 20-30 minutes but is very effective.

Some of these movements are a little more advanced, so I wouldn't recommend this for someone just getting started, but if you have some experience give it a try.

  1. Daily Mobility Routine
  2. Burpees - I usually do 2-3 rounds of 10-20 per round
  3. Clean + Press - 6 sets of 3 ramping up weight as able
  4. Db complex 2 sets x 6 slow- Do all exercises without setting the weights down
    1. RDL, Bicep Curl, Squat, Shoulder Press
  5. Run - 5 Minutes as far as you can go or Shorter sprints x 6-10

Turning it Around

Uncategorized Jun 10, 2020

Last night my kids were playing in the backyard, and one of my daughters came running in the house saying something stung her finger and that it was hurting.

We calmed her down but then about 20 minutes later she started freaking out because her finger was getting pretty swollen.

First, we prayed asking God to heal it, and then I had her take communion. As she ate the bread I had her visualize the pain and swelling being put on the body of Jesus, and then while taking the juice we talked about how God is always working for our good and we can trust in his unfailing love for us.

Then we had a conversation about what I call the point of contact.

I was once giving a baseball lesson to a 10 year old kid.  As we were going through the lesson he started to struggle.

He began to hit every ball straight into the ground and became very frustrated.  After several swings like this I stopped and showed him how to fix the problem. His swing was good but at the point of contact he was relea...

Yearly Cycle Updates

Uncategorized Jun 09, 2020

We are now a couple of weeks past Pentecost. The next markers on God's calendar are the Feast of Trumpets ( Sept 18) and the Day of Atonement( Sept 28).

I like to think of the Day of Atonement as a major deadline for the year. What goal or project would you like to see accomplished by Sept 28th?

Here are some themes to be thinking about in this season.

  • Rhythm: How are your daily, weekly, and monthly rhythms?
  • Action and execution: How well are you executing your plans?
  • Defense: In the second half of the year, we switch to playing defense more often.
  • Guard your heart and be on the lookout for things that try to steal your peace and joy.

Ephesians 2:6 says we have been seated in heavenly places with Christ. Keep your position. What is trying to pull you out of your seat?

Changing Bad Moods

Uncategorized Jun 08, 2020

Have you ever been in a bad mood and let it steal your day?

Someone once commented to me about the Abundant Life Blueprint that I just thought everything was going to be great all the time. Nothing could be further from the truth. To build an abundant life we must learn how to handle issues and to master our emotions in tough situations.

Here is one of the most powerful ways I have learned to turn around a bad mood in an instant... take communion.

Visualize God pouring his wrath and Jesus so that we now have his cup of blessing. Remember that God is with you and he can turn situations quickly.

It is very powerful to put something physical we do paired with spiritual principles. It unites our whole spirit, soul, and body into one. Taking communion can be symbolic of letting the situation go and turning it over to God.

Communion is one of the most powerful ways to transform our emotional state.

At our house we keep a box of Matzo crackers and grape juice on hand and if my emotions ...

The 1 Day Challenge

Uncategorized Jun 06, 2020

What if God wants to do more through us today, than we can ask or dream or imagine?

I think too often we put everything out into the future when God says TODAY is the day of his favor.

If you feel like every day is just more of the same here is a 1 Day Challenge to try.

Think about what would be an amazing day, a miraculous day. Think about it in every area... connection with God, full of peace and joy, purpose, health, family, finances, order, time, and community.

What would happen in 1 day that you knew it had to be God causing it to happen?

Once you have your answers write them down and pray over them asking God to help you make it happen. Just a very simple prayer, but the key is to firm up your believing. Believe at the moment that you pray that God heard you and is answering your prayer.

Then go about your day with joy. Wake up like a kid on Christmas morning, full of joy and expectation. Then throughout the day only focus the plan. There may be things that you don't no...
