Psalm 32:10 Says, "Many are the woes of the wicked, but the LORD's unfailing love surrounds the one who trusts in him."
The Hebrew word for "unfailing love," is "hesed," which is God's covenant commitment to lovingkindness.Â
Today I have an exercise for us to start practicing. Inhale deeply, and imaging God's unfailing love surrounding you, then exhale and imagine his love flowing through you into the world. This is a very simple but powerful exercise to do throughout the day.Â
In today's communion we are asking God to reveal to us any ways in which we are not trusting in his unfailing love. And we are asking him to help us consistently remember that his unfailing love surrounds us.Â

Recently we've been talking about deep waters. Proverbs says that the purpose in our heart is like deep waters, and our words are like deep waters. And Psalms says that God put the deep into storehouses.Â
While meditating on these verses I was reminded of Psalm 42:7-8 which says, " Deep calls to deep in the roar of Your waterfalls; all Your breakers and waves have rolled over me. 8 The LORD decrees His loving devotion by day, and at night His song is with me as a prayer to the God of my life.…"
In today's communion we are asking God to teach us what deep calls to deep means and to apply what we learn consistently.

The other day I was reminded of how important it is to stay relaxed while working out. We often think that straining and trying really hard makes us better... but it's not usually true. There was once a college track coach who would have his sprinters race each other at the beginning of the year and record their times. Then he would have them run a cool down sprint, with a focus on staying relaxed, and all of them would beat their original times. Then he would have them run again, with a focus on being even more relaxed, and they would all beat their times again.Â
Being relaxed makes us more efficient and more powerful... It's counterintuitive.Â
In John 14:10 Jesus said, "Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me."
The same Father that lived in him, lives in us. And he wants to work through us as well, but we...

Yesterday we talked about deep waters.
Proverbs 20:5 says, "The purpose in a man’s heart is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out."
And Proverbs 18:4 says, "The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook."
After recording yesterdays communion meditation on deep waters I came across Psalm 33:7 which says, " God gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the deep into storehouses."
God puts the deep into storehouses. When Jesus told Peter to launch out into the deep, that's where he caught all of the fish, but where did the fish come from? They may have come from a storehouse God had in the deep.Â
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand what him putting the deep into storehouses means for us.Â

Lately I've been thinking about deep waters.
Proverbs 20:5 says, "The purpose in a man’s heart is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out."
And Proverbs 18:4 says, "The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook."
Notice the connection between our purpose and our words both being likened to deep waters.
The other day I was draining the water out of an above ground pool with a pump. There was a hose hooked to the pump that sent the water out of the pool. On the other end of the pump was the cord that plugged into the electrical outlet.Â
I felt like God was showing me that we have a pipeline of living water on the inside of us full of God's love, energy, peace, joy, kindness, faith. self-control, finances, health, and so much more. But it must be pumped or drawn out of us.Â
On the other end the pump must stay plugged in, and I think the way we keep the pump pl...

Both James 4 and Proverbs 27 tell us not to boast about all the things we are going to do. It says that all such boasting is actually evil.Â
Jeremiah 9:24 says, "but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight."
In today's communion let's examine ourselves to see if we've been doing any boasting about ourselves or if our boasting has been about the Lord. And we are asking God to help only boast in him moving forward.Â

When it comes to workouts, boast that you have God with you when you work out. Our confidence is to be in him.Â

The other day I came across Romans 8:28 TPT which says, "We are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together for good."
Lately I have been thinking about the word, "hope." The Amplified Bible describes hope as "the confident expectation of good."
In Hebrew one of the words for hope is "tiqvah," which is also translated as a "cord." Think of a cord as a collection of fabrics woven together.Â
We can have hope(confident expectation) that God is weaving every detail of lives together for good. This confidence is not in ourselves, but in God, who never changes.Â
In today's communion let's take a moment to examine whether we are approaching our day with confident expectation for good, or are we walking in fear, dread, and uncertainty. Then we are going to activate this promise so that we start walking in confident expectation that God is working every detail together for our good.Â

We are in the 40 days of Teshuva, which means turn or repent, and it's time to examine ourselves and change our ways. And recently I was feeling the nudge to ramp up my Bible reading. For many years, my pattern was to read a Proverb, a Psalm, and 10 pages of reading the Bible like a book every day. Lately my Bible reading had fallen back to about 4-6 pages per day instead of 10, and I felt like God was nudging me to increase it to 10 pages per day again.Â
After only a couple of days of this it's hard to describe the difference it made, but it does make a huge difference. I could tell a difference in my body almost immediately, and I began to get flooded with new insights and revelation.Â
Proverbs 4:21-22 says, "My son, pay attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. 21Do not lose sight of them; keep them within your heart. 22For they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh."
And Proverbs ...

Have you ever felt like you were stuck in the rut of the daily grind? Like it's just another day you are trying to get through?
Something I feel like God has been teaching me lately is the power of confident expectation in God to break us free from the ruts, and truly make today a masterpiece, because this is the Day the Lord has made, and we are supposed to be glad and rejoice in it.Â
Isaiah 30:18 AMPC says, "Therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you…. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him."
Rather that today being just another day, let's set our expectation on God eagerly desiring to be gracious and do good for us today.Â
We are in the 40 days of Teshuva, which is time to examine ourselves...
Here is today's communion meditation.
We are in the 40 Days of Teshuva
( Teshuva = turn or repent).
These are the 40 days leading up to the Day of Atonement, which in the Jewish culture was the holiest day of the year, because it was the one day of the year when the High Priest could enter the holy of holies to make atonement for the sins of the people.Â
Part of Teshuva is examining ourselves and making adjustments.
Ephesians 2:1-2 says, "And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you used to walk when you conformed to the ways of this world and of the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who is now at work in the sons of disobedience."
And Romans 12:2 says, "Â Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."
In today's communion we are asking God to help us identify any areas where we are conforming to the ways of the world or the prince of the power of the air, and to help us turn those a...
