Here is today's communion meditation.
The other day I was reading in Joshua chapter 24 and when God kept using the phrase, " Beyond the River," to describe where Abraham's ancestors had come from, prior to crossing over into the promised land.
God kept reiterating that the people had come from Beyond the River.
In today's communion we are asking God to give us insight and understanding into what the phrase, "Beyond the River." means for us today.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Remember to go for walks with God.
I am praying for you.

The other day Galatians 6:8 popped up several times throughout the day. And I have learned that when a scripture keeps showing up it means that God is trying to show me something.
Galatians 6:8 says, " Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life."
In today's communion we are asking God to give us insight and revelation into this verse and to help sow in such as way that we please the Spirit.

Remember to bring your best and make your workout beautiful.
I am praying for you.

The other day I heard someone say that in our relationships creativity can inhibit connection. For example, when we are creating something we can get isolated and lose connection with others. But this reminded me that creativity usually comes out of connection.
It is our connection with God that leads to producing and creativity. It can also be the same in relationships. Connecting with others can inspire us and help us create on a new level.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us combine connection and creativity the way he intended, and to help our creativity increase through connection.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Stay connected with God in your workouts. Connection with him is what produces fruit.
I am praying for you.

Hebrews 10:24 says that we are to be provoking one another to love and good works. Some versions translate this as provoke, encourage, stir up, and spur on. Iron sharpens iron and we are to be challenging and encouraging each other to be walking in higher levels of love and good works. Titus says that Jesus came to purify a people who are zealous for good works.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us provoke, challenge, encourage, spur on, and stir up one another to love and good works.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
We can also provoke one another to take action on those things that we know to do in our health and fitness.
I am praying for you.

Isaiah 33:6 says that the Fear of the Lord is the key to the treasure. To fear the Lord is to honor, revere, and respect him. When we have the Fear of the Lord it is the key that unlocks all of the treasure in Christ.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand the fear of the Lord so that we unlock the treasure he has given us in Christ.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Part of the Fear of the Lord is honoring God with our body, because we were bought at a price.
I am praying for you.

Here is this week's Yearly Cycle update.
This time between Easter and Pentecost is a time of acceleration. Think of it like a 7-week sprint or like the onramp to a highway. On an onramp the key is to accelerate and get up to speed. During this time God will often accelerate us so that we get up to speed for what he wants to do this year.
A key that can accelerate us is making God our niche. In business it's often taught that one of the keys to success is creating a very small niche and serving those people well. I think this teaching is good, but our niche is supposed to be God. If we stay in constant communication with him and take action by helping people, God will help us serve well.
Here is our filter for this week... Make God Your Niche.
I am praying for you.

Here is today's communion meditation.
Lately the phrase, " A breath of fresh air," keeps coming to mind. And it reminded me of a section in my book "7 Dates With Jesus." In the book there is a section about what happens to a baby's heart at birth. When a baby is born, the combination of taking the first breath and the umbilical cord being cut causes a permanent change to the baby's heart. The baby's heart is changed forever.
Prior to this the mother is taking in oxygen for the baby, so the blood in the baby's heart passes directly from one side of the heart to the other. But the first breath activates the lungs to start working, and the passage from one side of the heart to the other is forever closed, so that blood can be directed to the lungs to be oxygenated.
We are also getting close to the feast of Pentecost, which is a reminder of the time when the Holy Spirit came in like a rushing wind. The word for Spirit in the Bible means breath or wind.

Here is today's communion meditation.
One of my mentors in health and fitness trained many athletes who won gold medals in the Olympics, and he used to always say that if you give the body what it needs, that it responds very quickly. Several times I saw people make unbelievable progress in very short periods of time, because the body was given what it needed.
I think of our physical bodies as a representation of the body of Christ. Therefore, if the pattern holds for our physical body, it should also work for all bodies... The body of Christ, communities, businesses, ministries, etc. If given what they need they will respond very quickly.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand how quickly a body can transform when given what it needs, and to give us the wisdom, understanding, and skill to know what a body needs.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
Some of the fastest transformations I have seen all had to do with improving people's diges...
Here is today's communion meditation.
This month our message is "Delight Yourself in the Lord."
Psalm 1 says that if we delight in the Law of the Lord, then we will meditate on his word day and night, and whatever we do will prosper.
This aligns perfectly with what God said in Joshua 1, when he told Joshua that if he would keep his word in his mouth and meditate on his word day and night then, he would make his way prosperous.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us prosper in whatever we do by delighting in Him.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
When we execute our workouts are we expecting it to produce results and prosper, or do we believe it won't really do much. What we believe makes a difference, because it impacts the energy we bring into the workout.
I am praying for you.

Here is the Message for May.
Our message for 2023 is, " God Saved the Best Until Now," and our message for May is, " Delight Yourself in the Lord."
Last month as we focused on the Best Use of Time, I really feel like God was teaching me about a different way to get results in our life. There are 2 ways that we typically try to get results:
1) Do something extreme to get fast results... but this isn't sustainable.
2) Slow and steady... but this can be discouraging, and it's hard to stay on track consistently for long periods of time.
But, with God there is a 3rd way. When we implement things according to his design and what he says is best we can get accelerated results that truly last. I think we will have more to come on this topic soon.
In Psalm 37 it says that if we delight ourselves in the Lord, he will give us the desires of our heart. Psalm 1 also says that if we delight ourselves in God's Law, then we will meditate on his word day and night, and wha...
