Good morning!
Here is today's communion meditation.
The other day we talked about how Paul told Timothy to continue in the things he had learned and become convinced of.
This reminded me of Romans 4:21 which is about Abraham. It says, "Â He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises."
To be fully convinced means there wasn't any wavering or unbelief.Â
Everything was aligned in the same direction.Â
In today's communion we are asking God to help us become fully convinced that He is able to do whatever he promises.Â

In our workouts as we practice new exercises or new levels it is usually when we reach the point of being fully confident or convinced that we can do the exercise or level that we see a big surge of progress.Â
I am praying for you.

Good morning!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Lately God's been teaching me about the importance of taking a day of rest each week. God's given us the gift of rest, so that we can get refreshed.Â
But to truly rest it takes preparation. It takes work so that you can enter into the rest, because it's hard to truly rest when a bunch of things need to be done.Â
In the Bible the day before the Sabbath was known as Preparation Day. Mark 15:2 says, "Now when evening had come, because it was the Preparation Day, that is, the day before the Sabbath."
Something I have learned is that the more preparation is done before a rest, the more deeply we can rest.Â
In today's communion we are asking God to teach us how to prepare the way he desires so that we can rest and refresh on a deeper level.Â

Lately God's been teaching me about the importance of taking a day of rest each week. God's given us the gift of rest, so that we can get refreshed.Â
Jeremiah 17:21 says, "This is what the LORD says: Be careful not to carry a load on the Sabbath day or bring it through the gates of Jerusalem."
As we rest each week, I think it's good to examine ourselves to see if we are carrying a load we shouldn't be carrying. If there some issue or problem that we are carrying the weight of, rather than giving it to the Lord, then we can have a weekly reminder to turn those things over to him.Â
In today's communion we are asking God to help us identify any load or burden we are carrying that we shouldn't be, and to turn it over to him.Â

Here is today's communion meditation.
The other day 2 Timothy 3:14 really stood out to me. It says, "Â But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know from whom you learned it."
I like the phrase, "continue in what you've become convinced of."Â
In our walk with God, we start out believing his promises, but when we apply His ways, we eventually become convinced that His ways work.Â
We move from believing in God to knowing him.Â
In today's communion we are asking God to help us continue in the things we have learned from him and are convinced of the way he desires of us.Â

Good morning!
Here is today's communion meditation.
1 Timothy 5:24-25 says, "The sins of some are obvious, reaching the place of judgment ahead of them; the sins of others trail behind them. In the same way, good deeds are obvious, and even those that are not obvious cannot remain hidden."
One of the themes in the Bible is that the good things we do in secret God rewards us for. Good deeds are obvious but even the ones that we do that nobody sees will be rewarded openly at some point, light makes all things visible.Â
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God's grace makes us zealous to do good.Â

Hey everyone!Â
Here is this week's Yearly Cycle update communion meditation
Yesterday we talked about Proverbs 22:28 which says, "Do not move the ancient boundary stone that your fathers have set."Â
The word for boundary stone can also be translated as "landmark."Â
Several years ago I came across a study where people were dropped off in the wilderness and asked to navigate their way out. When people had landmarks they could find their way out, but when they lacked landmarks or something to navigate with they tended to make small biased decisions in the same direction which caused them to go in circles.Â
In life we need something to navigate with and God has boundaries, landmarks, and standards that we can use to keep us moving forward rather than going in circles.Â
This week let's spend some time seeking God on how to use his boundaries and landmarks to navigate our lives the way he intended. Â
I am praying for you.Â

Good morning!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Lately we've been talking about boundaries, order, and rest.Â
While thinking about the connection between these topics Proverbs 22:28 came to mind.
It says, "Do not move the ancient boundary stone that your fathers have set."
In the promised land it was boundary stones that marked out the people's inheritance. In a similar way for us, we have some boundary stones around our inheritance in Christ. I think one of those ancient boundaries is taking a day to rest. God established this in the very beginning of the Bible when he modeled it for us.Â
In today's communion we are asking God to teach us about the ancient boundary stones he has set for us.Â
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
We need boundaries in our health and fitness. Spend some time seeking God on what boundaries he would want you to set for your health and fitness.Â

Good morning!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Lately God's been teaching me about the importance of resting and the gift he's given us in the Sabbath.Â
Isaiah 58:13-14 says, "If you turn your foot from breaking the Sabbath, from doing as you please on My holy day, if you call the Sabbath a delight, and the LORD’s holy day honorable, if you honor it by not going your own way or seeking your own pleasure or speaking idle words, 14then you will delight yourself in the LORD, and I will make you ride on the heights of the land and feed you with the heritage of your father Jacob."
Notice the connection in this verse... If we delight in the Sabbath we delight in the Lord. And when we delight ourselves in the Lord he gives us the desires of our heart(Psalm 37:4).
In today's communion we are asking God to teach us to delight in the Sabbath the way he desires.

Good morning!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Lately God's been teaching me about the importance of resting and the gift he's given us in the Sabbath.Â
In Exodus 31:16:17 it says, "The Israelites must keep the Sabbath, celebrating it as a permanent covenant for the generations to come. 17 It is a sign between Me and the Israelites forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, but on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’”
Think about this for a moment... Even God was refreshed when he rested.Â
If it refreshed God, then we can imitate him as his children and get refreshed ourselves when we rest.Â
Something I am learning is that when the balance of work and rest isn't maintained it makes you less productive because to be highly productive you must be refreshed.Â
In today's communion we are asking God to teach us about rest and how to be refreshed like he was from our rest.Â

Good morning!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Something God's been teaching me this year is the importance of rest and taking a day off once per week. Even God rested after his work. Resting makes your work so much more effective and efficient.Â
While thinking about this Matthew 11:28-30 MSG came to mind.Â
"“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
In today's communion we are asking God to show us how to take a real rest and to teach us how he works as we walk with him.Â
