Good morning!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Lately I've been thinking about Philemon 1:6 which says,
"I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ."
The verse for partnership can also mean fellowship, community, or shared communion.
Other versions translate this that the sharing of your faith would deepen your understanding of all we have in Christ.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us walk in fellowship, partnership, communion with each other the way God desires so that it deepens our understanding of all we have in Christ.

Good morning!
Here is today's communion meditation.
In Acts 5:20 an angel is breaking Peter out of prison and he tells him, "“Go, stand in the temple courts,” he said, “and tell the people all about this new life.”
The word for "new life," in the original Greek is "zoe," which is often the word used in the New Testament for eternal life. But it means so much more.
It is eternal life, but it also means the life force or essence of God.
We get to have this new life connected to God, with him living inside of us.
For the upcoming year of 2024 our message for the year is, "The Great Reset."
If you truly had a fresh start with this new life we've been given how would you live?
Today's communion is a time of gratitude for the zoe life God has given us. And today's communion is an activation of the new life we've been given.

Merry Christmas!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Today let's remember that one of the gifts we've been given is the gift of righteousness.
Romans 5:17 says, "For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!"
Righteousness is a gift. We've been made right with God because of the works of Jesus. This means we have God's blessing and favor on our lives and he is on our side.
But we must receive this gift, and it means to give ourselves grace and stop beating ourselves up when we miss it, because we are still righteous because of Jesus. It also means staying humble because we didn't do anything to earn our righteousness. It is a gift!
Today's communion is an activation of receiving the gift of righteousness.

Good morning!
Here is today's communion meditation.
This week let's remember the importance of giving ourselves grace.
Ephesians 2:8 says, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."
One of our Christmas presents this year is the gift of God's grace.
He's given us grace but we often forget to give ourselves grace.
We can be our own worst critic and put too much pressure on ourselves, and this limits God's grace from flowing through us out into the world.
When we put too much pressure on ourselves it's like a kink in a garden hose that blocks the flow of God's grace through us.
So as your prepare for Christmas and take some time to reflect on the year make sure to remember to be gracious to yourself.
In today's communion let's receive the gift of God's grace and start to walk in it at higher and higher levels from this point on.
Let's go forward from this time of communion transfor...
Good morning!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Today I wanted to do something a little bit different and combine our Yearly Cycle Update with the communion meditation.
It seems like every year during this time of the year that God reminds me of the importance of giving ourselves grace.
Romans 3:23-24 says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."
God has justified us freely by his grace, but we often forget to give this same grace to ourselves.
We are often our own worst critic and put too much pressure on ourselves, and this limits God's grace from flowing through us out into the world.
When we put too much pressure on ourselves it's like a kink in a garden hose that blocks the flow of God's grace through us.
So as your prepare for Christmas and take some time to reflect on the year make sure to remember to be gracious to yourself.

Here is today's communion meditation.
Romans 15:13 says, " May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
God has a lot of names and one of them is, The God of All Hope.
The Amplified Bible defines hope as the confident expectation of good.
The God of the confident expectation of good wants to fill us with joy and peace as we trust in him so that we can overflow with the confident expectation of good.
Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God is the God of all hope. And we are asking him to fill us with all joy and peace as we trust in him.

Good morning!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Yesterday we talked about how we have a hedge of protection in Christ.
In Psalm 139:5 it says, " You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me."
The word for hem can also be translated as a hedge.
Something I have experienced is that we have a hedge of protection around but sometimes it feels like God boxes us into situations that cause us to keep moving forward with His plan when we wouldn't otherwise. Ultimately this is for our good, but it can sometimes feel like your hemmed into a tight situation.
In today's communion we thanking God for His hedge of protection, and that he goes behind and before us. And we are asking him to teach us about how he hems us in for our good.

Here is today's communion meditation.
In Job chapter 1 Satan and God are having a conversation about Job, and in verse 10 Satan says, " Have you not put a hedge around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land."
In Christ we have a hedge of protection, and I think that one of the best things we can do is give consistent thanks that the hedge is there.
A hedge is an enclosure that provides protection. In the investing world a hedge lessens risk and allows you to keep increasing when things go the wrong way.
In today's communion we are asking God to teach us about the hedge of protection we have in Christ, how to stay inside of it, and how to keep it strong.

Here is today's communion meditation.
Yesterday we talked about John 10 where it says that during the winter during the Feast of Hanukkah Jesus was at the temple and in verse 38 he said "But if I do his work, believe in the evidence of the miraculous works I have done, even if you don’t believe me. Then you will know and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father.”
In John 14 Jesus talked to his disciples about miraculous works gain. He said in verses 10-12, "Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I say to you, I do not speak on My own. Instead, it is the Father dwelling in Me, performing His works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me— or at least believe on account of the works themselves. Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.…

Good morning!
Here is today's communion meditation.
This is a time of year for Miracles. A time to remember the miraculous birth of Jesus.
In John 10 it says that during the winter during the Feast of Hanukkah Jesus was at the temple and in verse 38 he said "But if I do his work, believe in the evidence of the miraculous works I have done, even if you don’t believe me. Then you will know and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father.”
In today's communion we are asking the God of all hope to help us keep believing in the miraculous because nothing is impossible for him.
