Recording Your Journey

Uncategorized Nov 01, 2022

Listen to the Podcast

In November our focus is going to be on recording our journey. Several months ago, on one of our partner's zoom's we came to the conclusion that one of the keys to growth is recording our journey so that we have a record of our progress.

Last month we focused on Understanding the Times and developing our calendar for 2023. This month we are going to focus on developing a system for recording our journey. I envision this looking something like a workbook/journal that will go along with our calendar.

In today's communion we are asking God to help us develop the system he has in mind for recording our journey.

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

One of the simplest and most overlooked ways to increase progress in our health and fitness is to record our journey. A workout journal and food log can do a lot.

I am praying for you.

The Choice to Love

Uncategorized Oct 31, 2022

Listen to the Podcast

We are in a time of year when many transitions occur. And during this time, I think it's important to remember the choice that God made to love us. Even though we had all missed it God made the choice to make a covenant commitment to love us unconditionally. God is love, and love gives free will and choice. He had a choice. He could have wiped us out or left us on our own, but he chose the way of love.

As we go through transitions in our life we will be faced with choices about which way to go, and we should follow God's example of choosing to love. Love is not a feeling it is a choice.

Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God chose to love us. And we are asking him to help us understand the choice he made, to receive it, walk in it, and learn to imitate him in our choices.

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

Our health and fitness is a great place to practice free choice. There will be many days when we don't feel like doing what we know we should do...

Boundaries

Listen to the Podcast

Yesterday we discussed the water being deep in Ezekiel 47 and right after that passage the next section discusses the boundaries of the land. All throughout the Old Testament God was very precise about the boundaries for the promised land.

This is a time of year when God often begins to transition us to new levels, and I believe one of the first steps at new levels should be to establish boundaries. One of the most important things for us to establish boundaries around is our priorities. We must commit to and establish our priorities in our heart, because they will be tested.

In today's communion we are asking God to teach us about the importance of boundaries and we are asking him to help us establish boundaries around our priorities the way he intended and says is best.

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

Our physical bodies operate with boundaries. For example, our blood sugar and blood pressure both have boundaries for what is too high and what is too low. ...

The Water Was Deep

Uncategorized Oct 29, 2022

Listen to the Podcast

Recently I have been flooded with what seems like more to do than can be done in a day, even several days, which brought to mind the passage of scripture in Ezekiel 47 about the water being knee deep, then waist deep, then too much to cross. If you look at the end of this passage the water that was too much to cross ultimately led to the trees producing fruit every month and leaves on the trees that are for healing.

Being flooded or overwhelmed can lead us to a place of life, fruitfulness and healing, even though it might seem unpleasant at the time.

In today's communion we are asking for insight into the passage in Ezekiel 47(which is down below) and we are asking him to help us handle times when we are flooded with too much gracefully so that it turns into life, fruit, and healing.

Ezekiel 47:1-12

The man brought me back to the entrance to the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple face...

Transitions

Listen to the Podcast

Here is this week's Yearly Cycle Update.

We are in a time of the year for transitions. It is during this season that God often opens doors to transition to new things. If there is a sudden change during this time, be assured that it is God shifting things around for our good. Sometimes it doesn’t look good on the surface, but ultimately it is for our good.

When new doors open, it always takes faith and courage to go through the doors. And be prepared, because on the other side of the door is some work. When doors open, make sure to check that you have peace before going through.

Open Door, But Lacking Peace

In 2 Corinthians 2, the apostle Paul says that God opened a door to work in Troas, but he didn’t go through the door. Paul said that he lacked peace because Titus wasn’t there to go through the door with him. This was very interesting to me, because although God opened the door, Paul did not go through. Some doors we are only supposed to go through when we...

Where Did the Problem Go?

Uncategorized Oct 28, 2022

Listen to the Podcast

The 28th of October is always a reminder for me the God wants to initiate miracle transfers in our lives, where he solves problems, makes a way, and opens new doors of opportunity.

In quantum science there are some interesting principles of duality. For example, light can be both particles and waves but you only see the one you are looking for and the other one collapses. Quantum science is also showing it's possible to be two places at one time, but you can't see both. You see the one you are looking for and the other one collapses. Where does the other one go?

I don't know the answer to this, but I know something very similar happens in our lives. For example, you could have some symptom in your body, but then the symptom disappears and we forget it was even there.

As an example of this, when everything was dark, God didn't speak to the darkness, he said... "Let there be light." He focused on light even though there was darkness, and the darkness disappear...

Cherish vs Reject

Uncategorized Oct 27, 2022

Listen to the Podcast

This time of year is a reminder of a fresh start and new beginnings. Part of this new beginning is understanding God's grace. Even when we had fallen short, God chose to cherish us rather than reject us.

In the Bible the words cherish, and understanding are often linked together and something God has taught me is that we must understand that he cherishes us as the apple of his eye. Recently I came across something that said the words "reject," and "cherish," are antonyms or opposites. To reject something is the opposite of cherishing. God chose to cherish us rather than reject us. It's this grace that changes our hearts and empowers us to do the same for other people.

Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God has chosen to continually cherish us rather than reject us and we are asking Him to help us understand this and let it flow through us to others.

The Fruit of the Spirit

Uncategorized Oct 26, 2022

Listen to the Podcast

This time of year is a reminder of a fresh start and new beginnings. This is a time when God often starts to move us to new levels. This time of year is a reminder to grow in the fruit of the Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23 says But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

I once heard someone say that these are 9 not different types of fruit, but one fruit with many flavors. I think all of these should come together as a package when we are truly in step with the Spirit. During this time of year, important decisions often need to be made and we can use the fruit of the spirit as a filter to guide our decision making.

Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God planted a seed in our hearts that contains everything we need, including the fruit of the Spirit. And we are asking him to help us cultivate the fruit of the Spirit he put within us to a ...

Gentle Like A Nursing Mother

Listen to the Podcast

This time of year is a reminder of a fresh start and new beginnings. This is a time when God often starts to move us to new levels and new levels usually means we need to grow. But we can rest assured that God will be gentle with us to help us grow. It is his gentleness that makes us great.

In 1 Thessalonians 2:3-8 Paul says...

For our appeal does not spring from error or impurity or any attempt to deceive, 4 but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts. 5 For we never came with words of flattery, as you know, nor with a pretext for greed—God is witness. 6 Nor did we seek glory from people, whether from you or from others, though we could have made demands as apostles of Christ. 7 But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children. 8 So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of...

Confidence Before God

Uncategorized Oct 24, 2022

Listen to the Podcast

This time of year is a reminder of a fresh start and new beginnings. This is a time when God often starts to move us to new levels and an important part of moving to new levels is growing in confidence before God.

1 John 3:19-23 tells us how we can be confident before God. It says...

This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: 20 If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. 21 Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God 22 and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. 23 And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.

Today's communion is a time of gratitude that God is greater than our hearts. And we are asking God to help us set our hearts at rest in his presence and get rid of any condemnation so that we h...
