He Bore the Sins of Many

Uncategorized Apr 26, 2024

Listen to the Podcast

Good morning!

Here is today's communion meditation.

We are currently in the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which is a reminder that Jesus bore our sins so that we can be righteous, or in right standing with God.

Isaiah 53:12 says, " For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."

Lately, I've been thinking about the verses saying "the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the righteous."

Something to meditate on... If Jesus became sin for us, does that mean that his wealth is laid up for us since we've been made righteous?

Today's communion is a time of gratitude that Jesus bore the sins of many, and we are asking God to teach us about any connections between Jesus bearing our sins, and the wealth that is laid of up for the righteous.

Remember to go for walks with God regularly.

From Strength to Strength

Good morning!

Here is today's communion meditation.

The other day we said that Passover is a reminder to be living by faith and that we are to go from faith to faith meaning that our faith is growing.

And yesterday we looked at 2 Corinthians 3:18 which says, "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."

Psalm 84:7 says about the people who make God their strength that, " They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion."

From faith to faith...

From glory to glory...

From strength to strength

These all imply growth, progression, and new levels.

In today's communion we are asking God to help us go from strength to strength the way he desires.

Good morning!

Here is today's communion meditation.

The other day we said that Passover is a reminder to be living by faith and that we are to go from faith to faith meaning that our faith is growing.

We are also supposed to be going from glory to glory.

2 Corinthians 3:18 says, "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."

Today's communion is a time of gratitude that we can behold God's glory. And we are asking him to help us be transformed into His image from glory to glory.

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

When I used to coach college baseball, we would record our players on video and have them critique themselves, which was like looking in a mirror. And these days with new technology players can get instant feedback on what they look like. Constant feedback allows us to make much faster progress in anything we do. It's...

Restoring Double

Uncategorized Apr 23, 2024

Listen to the Podcast

Good morning!

Here is today's communion meditation.

The concept of a double portion is all throughout Bible, and often in the Old Testament wrongs were to be repaid in double.

This week is the 7 Days of Unleavened Bread, which is a reminder that Jesus was/is sinless, and Isaiah 40 says that he paid double for our sins, so that God can restore double to us.

And Zechariah 9:12 says, "Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double."

Today's communion is a time of gratitude that Jesus paid double for what our sins deserved. And we are asking God to restore double to us.

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

One of my health and fitness mentors used to teach the "double," method. For something you really want to improve in your fitness, train it twice in the workout, by starting and ending with that movement.

I am praying for you.

From Faith to Faith

Uncategorized Apr 22, 2024

Listen to the Podcast

Good morning!

Here is today's communion meditation.

Tonight is Passover, which also starts the 7 Days of Unleavened Bread.

The Bible tells us that the people kept the Passover by faith. By faith they applied the blood of the lamb to their houses, so that the blood would protect them and set them free.

Romans 1:17 says, "For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

Every year as we come around to Passover again, it's a reminder to be living by faith, and I think that every year we should be going from faith to faith, meaning that our faith is growing.

Today's communion is a time of gratitude for the reminder that Jesus is our Passover lamb and that his blood protects us and sets us free. And we are asking God to help us grow from faith to faith the way he desires.

Faith is the confidence of things hoped for. One of the goals in fitness is to...

Passover = Talking Mouth

Uncategorized Apr 20, 2024

Listen to the Podcast

Hey everyone!

Here is this week's Yearly Cycle update communion meditation.

We are coming up on a very important time on God's calendar.

Monday 4/22 is Passover, which also starts the 7 Day Feast of Unleavened Bread. The Feast of First fruits also happens during the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

Next week is like a 1-2-3 combination that reminds us we've been released from darkness, transferred into the light, cleansed, and made new with treasure on the inside of us.

In Hebrew the word for Passover is Pesach, which means talking mouth.

This time is a reminder to be talking about what God has done in your life. It's also a reminder that our words are important and a big part of releasing our faith. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

As we take communion today, we are asking God to help grow in the way we use our words.

I am praying for you.

Daniel

The Principle of the Beginning and the End

Uncategorized Apr 19, 2024

Listen to the Podcast

Good morning!

Here is today's communion meditation.

Today I want to talk about the principle of the beginning and the end.

When I was playing baseball in college one of the best hitting coaches I've ever seen used to always say, "if the beginning and the end of the baseball swing are in the correct place, then everything in the middle tends to workout."

This actually a Biblical principle, because Jesus is the beginning and the end(Revelation 22:13).

In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand and apply successfully the principle of the beginning and the end.

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

When Your Children Ask

Uncategorized Apr 18, 2024

Listen to the Podcast

Good morning!

Here is today's communion meditation.

Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread start next Monday 4/22.

In Exodus 12:26, God said that when the people celebrated the Passover that their children would ask them why they were doing it.

God said it would give the parents an opportunity to tell their children the story of what God had done for them.

It's very important that the stories of what God has done and what we've learned get passed on to future generations and Passover is a reminder of this.

In today's communion we are asking God to help us impart what we've learned from him to the next generation.

Jesus Became Sin

Uncategorized Apr 17, 2024

Listen to the Podcast

Good morning!

Here is today's communion meditation.

Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread start next Monday 4/22, and in the Old Testament this would have been a time when the people were cleaning out the old leaven to make room for the new.

Part of the cleanout process is understanding that Jesus became sin for us.

1 Corinthians 5:21 says, "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."

The original word for "sin," used in the verse can be translated as to miss the mark or failure.

We could read this verse as Jesus became a failure for us, so that we could be right with God.

Today's communion is a time of gratitude that Jesus became sin for us, and we are asking God to help us understand this to walk in the fullness of the righteousness we've been given.

Cleansed From All Sin

Uncategorized Apr 16, 2024

Listen to the Podcast

Good morning!

Here is today's communion meditation.

This year we've been talking about a "Great Reset."

And this month our message is, "Metabolic Reset."

Part of resetting is cleaning out the old so that the new can be started.

We are a week away from Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, starting next Monday 4/22, and in the Old Testament this would have been a time when the people were cleaning out the old leaven to make room for the new.

1 John 1:7 says, " But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin."

Passover is a reminder that we've been released from darkness and transferred into the light. One of the symptoms of walking in the light is that we fellowship with God and one another. A big cue that we are out of position is broken fellowship or a lack of peace in a relationship.

One of the shortcuts to walking in the light is staying position...
