God sees us with the eyes of grace, through what Jesus did. To see with the eyes of grace takes being present. For example, God remembers our sins no more. He is not seeing us in the view of the past but in the present.
Pentecost is tomorrow and it is the midpoint of the year on God's calendar. Whenever I think of the midpoint I see it as a reminder to be more present. Presence is one of the biggest keys to seeing grace flow in our lives. To see with the eyes of grace means being more present, letting go of the past, and seeing other people in the present moment not holding anything from the past against them. We must also give ourselves this same grace.
There is a phrase that appears over and over in the Bible which is, " Let me find grace in your eyes." To find grace in someones eyes means that they are with you and for you. That they want to help you and bless you. Because of Jesus we have grace in God's eyes.
We must receive that we have grace in God's ey...
In the temple of the Old Testament there was a table in the middle room for the bread of the presence. Notice this was in the middle room. Pentecost is coming up on Monday May 17th and it is the midpoint of the year on God's calendar. Whenever thinking of the middle I think of the power of presence because it is in the middle of the past and the future.
God is in the present moment, because he says I Am, not I was or will be. There is often a heaviness that comes in our minds and spirits when we worry about the future, think of regrets, or ways people have wronged us in the past, but when we get more present and aware of God's presence everything feels lighter. I think of joy as my indicator that I am present, because in God's presence there is fullness of joy.
In the video above there is a communion meditation and an important concept of communion is bringing the sacrifice of Jesus into the present moment. The bread in communion of symbolic of the bread of the ...
Quick Summary
Pentecost is coming up on May 17th and in the story of Pentecost all of the people were gathered together in one accord when the Holy Spirit came. They were unified as one. Pentecost is the midpoint of the year on God's calendar and it is a reminder to create a bridge to become more united with the people around us. In our lives it can be easy to become divided because we focus and meditate on all of the areas where we disagree with others but to create unity takes focusing on the areas where we do agree and building from there.
Communion Meditation
In Ephesians chapter 4 the subtitle of the chapter is Unity in the Body of Christ. It tells us to be completely humble, gentle, patient, bearing with each other in love and to make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. When the body is unified and every part is doing its work properly the body builds itself up in love
Quick Summary
We are to be meditating on God's promises to us rather than the problems we have. Two important things to meditate on are God's steadfast unfailing love for us and on specific promises he has made for the different areas of life. Fixing our minds on God's steadfast love through meditation helps to root and establish his word in our hearts. This creates a stable foundation in our hearts and then we can meditate on specific promises to help us bridge the gap between the promise and the fruit of God's promises.
Recently I was praying about how to bridge the gap between what God has promised and actually seeing the results of it. We have been given the Holy Spirit to help us bridge this gap and meditation is also a tool that can help us bridge the gap as well.
The word of God is like a seed and his word endures or remains forever. When we read the scriptures it is like planting seed into our hearts and meditation can help us to grow and cultivate the...
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray for all those watching, listening, or reading this and their families, friends, and all those connected to them along with our church and governmental leaders.
Thank you for releasing us from darkness and transferring us into the light, into the kingdom of your dear son. Thank you for your purpose and grace given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.
I ask that you the father of glory would give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation so we would know you better. That the eyes of our hearts would be enlightened to know the hope to which you have called us, and the riches of your glorious inheritance that is in us, and the immeasurable greatness of your power to us who believe. The same power that you exercised in Christ when you raised him from the dead, and seated him at your right hand in heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named. Not only in this age but also in the o...
Recently I feel God has been nudging me to do daily videos and to have a communion meditation for each day.
Here is today's communion meditation.
Pouring Out for Increased Capacity
The cup of God's wrath was poured out onto the body of Jesus. All of God's anger and frustration with our sins was poured onto Jesus. The cracker in communion is a symbol of the righteousness of Jesus that has been given to us. We have peace with God through his sacrifice. Jesus poured out his life unto death so that we could be righteous and holy in God's eyes.
His sacrifice has given us access into everything God has... His wisdom, his righteousness, his kingdom, his love, his faith, his peace, his joy, his energy, his time, his power, his health, his finances. and so much more.
We have been given this tremendous gift and we must expand our capacity to receive all that God has done and let it flow in our lives. The greatest way to increase our capacity is to pour out as well....
Jesus said that his house would be a house of prayer for all nations. The other day I read this promise in Isaiah and it kept coming back to mind as we were working in our backyard to level out an area. I was reminded of what we teach in the Abundant Life Blueprint about building a house.
To build a house the lot first needs to be cleared and leveled. Clearing and leveling a lot is a lot of work but thankfully Jesus did the hard work and we have been given his righteousness. Then a house needs a foundation, and the foundation for our lives is meant to be God's word. One of the most powerful ways to pray is by praying God's word and his promises regularly.
But, as we find what God has said there is often a gap between what he has promised us and what we are experiencing. For several years now I have used a very simple prayer that has really transformed my emotions and I feel God was showing me recently that this same type of prayer can be used for anything where ...
Quick Summary
We have been talking about Revelation 3 where Jesus says Wake Up! Strengthen What Remains. The promise of entering God's Sabbath rest in Christ still remains and the day is called TODAY. Faith, hope, and love remain and the greatest of these is love. The righteousness of Jesus and the kingdom of God also remain forever. Today we are discussing Isaiah 51 where it says that not only does righteousness remain forever but it also never fails. The things of God last forever and they never fail. For example, 1 Corinthians 13 says love never fails. If God is love that means God never fails. A couple of keys to stepping into our righteousness in Christ are drawing near to God daily and taking the time to listen to him.

Quick Summary
In Revelation 3 Jesus says "Wake Up! Strengthen what remains. There are several things that the New Testament tells us remains. In Hebrews 4 it says the promise of entering into God's Sabbath rest still remains and the day is today. This rest is available in Christ everyday. In 1 Corinthians 13 it says faith, hope, and love remain but the greatest of these is love. In the New Testament God has given us his steadfast love and we can become more steadfast by focusing on his steadfast unfailing love for us.
In 2 Corinthians 9 and Psalm 112 it says that the righteousness of Jesus also remains forever. We have been given the gift of being righteous with God through believing in Jesus, rather than our own works. By believing in Jesus our right standing with God is firm and fixed. Steadfast forever but we must stand fixed in His righteousness rather than our own. When we receive his righteousness and put it into practice it empowers us to do the right thin...
Quick Summary
Proverbs 2:7 says that God has victory in store. Living a live of faith doesn't mean we don't have problems, but it does mean God has victory in store for every problem we face. One of the biggest keys to victory is being steadfast in our focus on God's steadfast love for us. In the Old Testament the Hebrew word for God's steadfast love is "Hesed," and it represents Gods unwavering loyalty and faithfulness to love and do good for us continually. This word Hesed also has ties to the concept of covenant. In the New Covenant God has obligated himself to hesed because of Jesus. When we fix our minds on God's steadfast unfailing love for us it helps us stand steadfast and immoveable in our faith and love when under pressure.
