He Set the Heavens

Good morning!

Today is Thoughtful Thursday ( The Purpose & Community Accelerator)

Today do something thoughtful for someone else. Connect them with something they need or do something to make their day. 

This is the purpose and community accelerator. 

We each have a unique gifting that is meant to serve the community of people around us, and one of the ways to do this is by looking for opportunities to help people with your gifts, talents, resources, network, etc.

Recently we talked about setting our minds on the things above. 

And yesterday we talked about setting our hope onto God's grace. 

I was thinking about these scriptures and came across Proverbs 3:19 which says, "By wisdom the LORD laid the earth’s foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place."

The word for "set," implies to establish, fix, to put in order, or put in its proper place. 

In today's communion we are asking God to help us do something thoughtful today and to understand how he set the heavens in place. 

Today's Health and Fitness Tip

There is a quote that I like from basketball coach John Wooden which is, "be quick but don't hurry." When we hurry it changes our emotional state which negatively impacts our health and makes us less efficient. We can do things quickly and efficiently but not in a hurry, because God has given us more than enough time. The mindset of having more than enough time is great for our health.
