Focus on speaking life today... With the words that you speak and the tone you speak with. 

Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 

Let your speech always be seasoned with grace.

A theme for this time of year is embracing challenges. Often in life, we try to follow the path of least resistance and take the easy way, but God has made us to be more than conquerors and overcomers. This means we must have something to overcome, and yet his grace is sufficient for every challenge.

What is your pattern when a challenge comes? Do you run away from it or toward it? We should be people who embrace challenges, because with God’s help we can overcome and find joy in the process. Be a person who chooses to do hard things—and do them with joy.

When David faced Goliath, he ran toward Goliath. Many people run away from challenges, but we must be people who run toward them.

In today's communion we are asking God to help us do the things we know to do with his power and grace.
